Turn your research idea into a real academic submission
This hands-on workshop takes international medical students and graduates from blank page to a submission-ready abstract, literature review, or conference poster — in a single focused session, no prior research experience needed.

You do not need more experience to start — you need a clear process, and that is exactly what I am going to hand you.

If you are reading this, there is a good chance you have been sitting on a research idea for longer than you want to admit. Maybe you saw something interesting on a rotation and thought, "someone should write about this." Maybe a supervising physician told you to "look into publishing something" and then gave you exactly zero guidance on how. Maybe you have searched online and come back more confused than when you started — IMRaD, MeSH terms, corresponding author, predatory journals — and the whole thing started to feel like a world that was not built for you.
I built this workshop because that feeling is real, and it is completely unnecessary. The process of going from a raw clinical question to a submission-ready abstract, literature review, or poster is not mysterious. It is a sequence of concrete steps, and once you can see those steps laid out clearly, you realize you are more capable than you thought.
What you will find here is not a lecture on research theory. It is a working session. You will draft a focused clinical question using PICO. You will run a real literature search with Boolean operators and MeSH terms. You will write section by section — Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion — with guidance at every stage. You will design a poster or structure a review that actually communicates something. And you will finish with a checklist that tells you exactly what to verify before you submit, so nothing falls through the cracks at the last moment.
I have tried to write every lesson the way a good senior resident explains things: direct, honest, and with a genuine belief that you can do this today. Not someday when you have more experience, or after you finish a statistics course, or once you find a mentor who has time for you. Today. With what you already know, and with the tools this workshop puts in your hands.
The one thing I want to be straight with you about: I cannot promise your work will be accepted anywhere. That decision belongs to conference committees. What I can promise is that by the end of this workshop, you will have produced a real, properly formatted, submission-ready piece of academic work — and you will know exactly where and how to send it. That first submission is the whole point. Everything in academic medicine builds from there, and this is where you build it.
