I am Julieta Arqueguelles, founder of LatIMGs, embarking on this journey driven by personal experiences navigating the intricate landscape of the US healthcare system as a Latina International Medical Graduate (LatIMG). Witnessing firsthand the challenges and obstacles many Latino IMGs face, I was inspired to create a program aimed at providing comprehensive support and mentoring.

My motivation stems from a deep-rooted commitment to improving equity in healthcare for Latino patients and increasing the representation of Latino physicians in the US healthcare system. My vision is to empower LatIMGs to excel in medicine, addressing the significant lack of diversity in healthcare while ensuring equitable access to resources and opportunities.
